Hungry Monk Music owner John Holenko plays in The Gatsby Orchestra. The Gatsby Orchestra plays the big band music of the 1920’s and 1930’s. A little known period between the small New Orleans groups and the big swing bands of the ‘40’s, The Gatsby Orchestra features banjo, tuba, and violin alongside the usual saxophones, trumpets, and saxophones that make up the big jazz bands. Come out and enjoy this great listening room. The Charleston Swing Dance community is always on hand to encourage folks to get up and dance.
